A new business started by some talented people are looking to create some new relationships so they can be the next American success story. But at almost every turn, they are denied something by someone, and one obstacle after another is placed in their way.

And sometimes, it almost seems like it makes more sense to give up than forge ahead.

If you’ve been declined a credit card merchant account by one, or even two banks, we can help.

But we’re going to work with you in a very different way than any of those other banks or merchant services companies.

The first thing we’re going to do is get to know you better. We’re going to work hard to understand who you are, what our plans and dreams are, and what kind of people you and your principals are. And when we find out that you’re good people with a solid business idea, we’ll create a plan to get you approved.

What we certainly will NOT do is send your credit application to a half dozen banks and hope that someone will accept you. That will do little more than ding your credit and make it harder to get approved for any kind of financing.

Instead, we’ll use our considerable inside knowledge of the best small business banks in the country to choose the best fit for you. Then we’ll use our long-time personal relationships with the bank executives to tell them your story.

It’s only then — when we’re all but certain that you’ll be approved — that we’ll share your application with them.

It’s our perspective that if we take the extra time up front to make sure that you’re the right kind of people with the right kind of business, we’ll have a much better opportunity to get you approved with the right bank.

Want to get started now? Then fill out our Quick-App. As soon as we get your information, we’ll call you back to learn a little more about you and then get to work on getting you approved for a merchant account…even if you’ve been declined before.

Go ahead. Do it now.

Do you run an online business? Then in addition to your merchant account, you’re going to need a “payment gateway” that connects your website to the bank.

But you’ve got a choice of gateways, so which do you choose?

We recommend Pay-Gate, and here’s why.

Your payment gateway needs to work with the shopping cart that runs your website. Pay-Gate supplies a cart (Easy Cart) free, and works with 99% of the standard shopping carts available on the Internet, so there’s a very, very good chance it will work with your site.

Pay-Gate is our own private label of the PlugNPay system, one of the largest and most respected payment gateways. With Pay-Gate, you get all of the features of PlugNPay…but we make it simpler and cheaper to use.

Here’s what we mean: At every step in the credit card process, someone is charging you something for your business. You can’t escape it. Authorize.net, the big daddy in gateways, charges initial setup fees and additional transaction fees from square 1!. PlugNPay charges far less but gives you more features. And Pay-Gate gives you everything you get with PlugNPay, but at a lower rate.

So what does Pay-Gate give you? Here’s a quick list of some of the most important features.

WebXpress™ Processing Gateway — The easiest gateway in the industry to integrate to any website!

ACH e-Check — A simple, reliable way to accept e-Checks through our processing gateway.

Membership Management Services — A dynamic, easy-to-use online tool that enables membership or subscription-based eCommerce sites to manage their subscriber base, and to enable members to register for events.

Digital Download Delivery — A simple, secure solution for authors and vendors who offer information or software online.

POS WebXpress™ Point-of-Sale Solutions — Pay-Gate offers a number of powerful ways to bring the unique benefits of our gateway to the retail point-of-sale environment.

FraudTrak™ Plus Security Tools — A premium product that can block most fraudulent transactions before they become a sale.

Shopping Cart Solutions — All of the tier one and tier two shopping carts, each offering a unique blend of features/benefits to help you gain a competitive edge by plugging into new profits & sales environments.

Coupon Management Solutions — Targeted at helping create more sales with their E-business. Turning browsers into buyers.

Affiliate Management Solutions — Harness the power of other web sites’ traffic with our Affiliate Mgt. – marketing solutions to increase your web site volume with minimal effort.

Billing Presentment Service — Comprehensive invoice presentation & payment solution, to simplify your invoice based payment needs.

Multi-Currency Pricing — With MCP, eCommerce and MOTO merchants can localize their pricing to international customers so that they can shop and pay in the currency they know best-their own.

Dynamic Currency Conversion — With DCC, card-present merchants can let their international customers pay in the currency they know best–their own.

Why would you choose anything else?

Getting started is easy. Just fill out the Quick-App that you’ll find on this page and we’ll call you back in a few minutes to get started.
There’s certainly nothing wrong with fulfilling a need in your marketplace, but quite often your bank won’t agree with you. That’s why they make it extra difficult for businesses in either the Adult entertainment or Gaming (gambling*) areas to accept credit cards and operate like a normal business.

It’s almost easy to understand why they make it hard for a company like yours to accept credit cards. Statistically speaking, it’s more likely customers of such businesses to submit a charge-back or not pay their bill.

When that happens, it is always the merchant bank that is on the hook for the money — at least temporarily.

That’s why merchant banks need to know who they are working with when they accept new clients who are in an adult-oriented business, and that’s why you’d want to work with Worldwide Merchant Services.

We personally know the top executives of the banks we work with. And in the cases where you might look better in person than you do on paper, we can make the introductions for you and help you create a new relationship for your business.

Want to know more? Fill out our Quick-App and we’ll get started.

*Any merchant Account we provide for an “internet gambling site” will be properly coded done in strict accordance with Association rules and the laws of the U.S. and will be issued by one of our “off shore” Banks.

Chances are, you’re either an existing business looking to reduce your credit card processing fees, or you’re a new business just getting started and applying for a merchant account for the very first time.

Well, if you’re one of those new businesses, you may have a few questions about what’s involved in accepting credit cards. So this page is a merchant account primer for you if you’ve never applied to accept credit cards before and want to know more about the process.

Merchant Accounts Are Like Loans

Accepting credit cards is a lot like asking for a loan. That’s because your bank is directly liable to the Associations (Visa, MasterCard & Discover) for any chargebacks or fraud losses for 6 times your monthly processing volume . So, for example, if you apply for a Merchant account to accept Credit Cards for up to $25,000.00 per month, the typical Bank will

underwrite that account as if you were applying for a loan of $150,000.00 As a result, they will usually require financial statements, Bank statements, Tax returns and good credit in order to approve the merchant account.

(Sounds like a lot of requirements, right? Well, you’re right. But if you don’t meet all of those requirements, don’t worry. We can help. See below.)

Who is who?

There are many entities involved in a typical credit card transaction. So let’s find out about them all, one by one:

Buyer — The person who wants to make a purchase.

Merchant — That’s you, the company that is selling its goods or services.

Merchant Services Company (ISO) — The Merchant Bank may use a merchant services company like Worldwide Merchant Services, A registered ISO/MSP as a marketing arm to find new customers and create relationships with the Merchant Bank.

Merchant Bank — It’s the Merchant Bank that acquires and processes the Credit Card purchases that your customers make.

Business Bank — The Bank that receives the Merchant’s funds from the purchase (where you currently bank).

If you are running a retail store, there’s one other piece you’ll need:

Credit Card Machine — Sometimes called ‘credit card terminal equipment‘, this device is what you use to swipe your customers’ credit cards. Just tap a few buttons, swipe the card, and get a signature. It’s as easy as that.

And if you are running an online business, there are two other pieces to the puzzle:

Shopping Cart Software — The first piece is the shopping cart software. The software controls your buyer’s shopping experience at your website.

Credit Card Internet Gateway — When an online buyer “checks out” with his shopping cart, the cart needs to accept the credit card information and send it to the merchant bank. That transaction is handled by an Internet processing gateway”. (We recommend Pay-Gate.

And now that you know who is who, and what is what, let’s learn a few new words.

Words To Know

Discount Rate — A fee paid by merchants for the ability to letting customers pay by credit card. This fee is usually in the range of 2% to 5%.

Per-Transaction Fee — There is usually a small, flat fee for each transaction processed, usually just a few nickels.

Monthly Minimum — Some banks will expect a minimum monthly total of the processing fees. If you don’t meet your monthly minimum, you’re charged a small fee.

Statement Fee — A fee for preparing your monthly statement.

Internet Gateway Fee — You’ll be paying a small fee to maintain your Internet gateway relationship.

Reserve — For new or higher risk businesses, the banks sometimes may require a deposit from you in order to ensure them against charge-backs or refunds. This reserve protects the banks in case of potential unpaid losses. (It’s more a reflection of your business type and customer type, rather than a reflection of you personally.)

Now that you know more about accepting credit cards, fill out our Quick-App right now. As soon as we get your information, we’ll call you back to learn a little more about you and then get to work on choosing the best merchant bank for you, and getting you the best rates possible. Go ahead. Do it now.

If you are running a high risk business, you know it’s tough to get approved by a bank to accept credit cards. Your regular “mega bank” that you’ve been doing business with all your life for your personal accounts probably doesn’t want to hear from you when you start to talk to them about your business.

And if they do, they are probably offering you a per-transaction fee and other charges that are astronomically high.

We understand, because we’ve helped hundreds of companies like yours accept credit cards when no one else could get them approved. And we can do the same for you. We’ve helped them get rates that are lower than some banks offer their best customers.

What is a high risk business?

You might have heard the term “high risk business” for the first time when you started to look for a merchant account…and you were probably surprised when the term was used to refer to YOUR business. So let’s explain what “high risk” really means.

The most secure transactions for a bank are those where a credit card and proper ID are presented face to face to a vendor so that the validity of the card and the ID can be checked and the card is swiped through a terminal. If you are doing business on the Internet, you can’t see the credit card being used, or check the ID of the customer. So to the bank, that’s a higher risk credit card transaction.

What else qualifies as high risk?

Many other classes of businesses are also high risk, and for more obvious reasons. The first is any adult-oriented service. Customers of those businesses tend to be a little less consistent and issue more “chargebacks” than those shopping for books or clothing online.

Next, any Merchants with high tickets or automatic recurring payments create large potential liability for a Merchant Bank

Also advance payments for services or products to be delivered in the future or by some third party are very high risk (see attached typical listing).

What can you do if you are a high risk business?

So what do you do if you are running a high risk business? The answer is that you’ll need to be sure you are dealing with a merchant account provider that is accustomed to the risks involved. You need a bank whose management understands how business is changing in the 21st century, and how “online businesses” are actually just “regular businesses” these days.

What you want is a more progressive bank that is familiar with the needs of American small business.

What you don’t want is a mega bank, like the ones that have been around for 100 years. They are all going to have a conservative management team that is very risk averse. They’re going to have policies that don’t allow for any wiggle room in whom they do or don’t accept. And they’re going to be so big that your business, frankly, doesn’t matter much to them.

So that is why you want to work with a Merchant Services Firm that is in tune with your business, and who knows the best and most progressive banks. You want to work with people who can choose the right bank for you not only based on low rates and fees, but also because they know (on a personal level) the top executives at the banks who make the decisions.

In other words, you want to work with a company like Worldwide Merchant Services. And getting started is easy. Just fill out the Quick-App that you’ll find on this page and we’ll call you back in a few minutes to get started.

But, before we tell you what our rating is, you should know why the Better Business Bureau Rating is important.

But it turns out that if you aren’t also accepting at least a few other credit cards, you are telling a lot of your potential customers that you don’t want their business.

And we can help you with that.

You see, your customers will want to pay with whatever is convenient for THEM, and the more credit cards you accept, the more often you’re going to make the sale.

Accept Visa and Mastercard

We offer full service Visa and Mastercard accounts. Visa and Mastercard are the most commonly used credit cards, both for business and personal purchases. When we get you approved to accept Visa and Mastercard, you’ll be able to accept traditional credit cards, as well as Debit Cards and Gift Cards bearing the Visa or Mastercard Logos.

Accept American Express Cards

American Express Cards (Amex Cards) are premium cards that often carry a significant amount of prestige for the person using the card — especially when the buyer is enrolled in the Gold, Platinum, Onyx and other premium card programs. Regardless of the kind of American Express card your customer carries, you’ll be able to accept their charge once we get you set up.

Accept Discover, Diner’s Club and JCB Cards

The big attraction with Discover Cards is that they always offer cash back to the consumer. But don’t worry — that money comes from Discover, and not you. Discover is less common than Visa, MasterCard and American Express but still represents a significant amount of business to many merchants. Let us set up your account to also accept Discover so you’ll never need to turn any eager customers away.

Which credit cards would you like to accept? Whatever your answer, getting started is easy. Just fill out the Quick-App that you’ll find on this page and we’ll call you back in a few minutes to get started.
